D. V. CATTON M.D.1

1 St. Joseph's Hospital, London, Ontario

The pathology of a myocardial infarction is reviewed and the potential danger of a situation of stress during the acute phase is emphasized. The case report of a fracture of the hip in a patient who had suffered a recent myocardial infarction is presented. The sequence of events and underlying pathology are demonstrated by the autopsy findings.
